Privacy Policy
Short version: we don't ask for, and don't want, your personal data. This site has no accounts, no forms and no tracking of our own.
What we collect
Nothing personally identifiable. The site stores two small preferences in your browser's local storage: your chosen language and which stories you've already opened. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
Hosting
The site is served over HTTPS by our hosting provider (Vercel), which may process standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and delivery purposes, per its own privacy policy.
Third-party content
Photographs are loaded at view time from Wikipedia / Wikimedia Commons servers; your browser makes a direct request to those servers, governed by the Wikimedia privacy policy. Links to Google Maps, Wongnai, ticket platforms and museums lead to third-party sites with their own policies.
Share buttons
Share buttons on our guides are plain links — they set no cookies and load no third-party scripts or tracking pixels. Nothing is sent anywhere until you click one, at which point the destination platform (Facebook, X, Pinterest, LINE, WhatsApp, Telegram or Weibo) opens in a new window under its own privacy policy. Instagram, WeChat and Xiaohongshu are not supported for direct sharing; the Copy link button simply copies the page address to your clipboard.
Advertising & affiliate links (future)
Ad placements currently shown are non-functional visual placeholders and set no cookies. If we activate an ad network or affiliate program (e.g. Booking.com, Skyscanner, Expedia via Travelpayouts), those partners may set cookies to attribute referrals; this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated before that happens, with consent requested where the law requires it.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access or delete on our side; clearing your browser's site data removes the stored preferences. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@krungthepguide.com.
