Riverside mall · Thonburi side

Iconsiam

ไอคอนสยาม

A ฿54-billion riverside city-within-a-mall — so large it was given its own train line and its own fleet of boats.

Jing ler? — no way

Inside is SookSiam, an indoor 'floating market' that recreates all 77 provinces of Thailand under one roof — boat vendors, regional food and crafts, on the ground floor of a luxury mall that also holds an Apple Store and Siam Takashimaya.

Jing ler? — no way

Its Magnolia Waterfront Residences tower is the tallest building in Thailand at 318 m, taking the crown from King Power MahaNakhon across the river when it opened in 2018.

Jing ler? — no way

Getting there is half the point: free shuttle boats run from Sathorn and Si Phraya piers, and the Gold Line — a three-station people mover — was built largely to serve it. Arrive by river at dusk, when the towers light up behind you.
