Erawan Shrine

ศาลท้าวมหาพรหม เอราวัณ

A Brahma shrine built on astrologers' orders to stop a cursed hotel project — it worked too well.

Jing ler? — no way

In 1956, the Erawan Hotel's construction was plagued by injuries, cost overruns and a sunken marble shipment. Astrologers diagnosed the problem — ground broken on the wrong date — and prescribed this shrine to Brahma. The accidents stopped; the shrine now out-earns most businesses on the intersection.

Jing ler? — no way

Wishes here run on a barter economy: if yours is granted, you repay Brahma by hiring the resident troupe of classical dancers — rates scale with the size of the miracle.
